Ballerina Ring: A Delicate Dance of Elegance and Sparkle

An Exquisite Piece of Fine Jewelry by Larisa Zolotova

The Ballerina ring, designed by Larisa Zolotova, is a stunning piece of fine jewelry that captures the grace and beauty of classical music and Russian ballet. With its organic shapes and unique features, this ring is a true masterpiece.

As seen in the pictures, the Ballerina ring is crafted from rose gold and features a mesmerizing morganite center stone surrounded by beautiful pink sapphires. The unique bezel design allows the gemstones to sparkle and showcase their vibrant colors. The arrangement of the stones, along with the sculpted ballerina figure, creates a dynamic shape that gives the impression of the ballerina gracefully floating along your hand.

What sets the Ballerina ring apart is not only its exquisite design but also its comfortable and lightweight construction. The ring was created using advanced 3D CAD design software, Matrix 8.0, and T-Splines technology. The bezel and shank were cast separately in rose gold using the lost-wax casting technique and then soldered together. The smooth edges of the ring ensure a comfortable fit, while its streamlined design prevents it from looking bulky.

The Ballerina ring is available in a size 7, with slight variations possible. Its dimensions are 24x28x35mm, making it a statement piece that will surely catch everyone's attention. Whether worn for a special occasion or as an everyday accessory, this ring exudes elegance and sophistication.

Larisa Zolotova, the talented designer behind the Ballerina ring, originally created two wax models to make a bronze prototype. This meticulous approach allowed her to identify any structural defects and weak points before finalizing the design. The main challenge she faced was creating a bezel that would securely hold the large stone without causing any damage. Additionally, incorporating the ballerina figure into the design while ensuring comfort, safety, and ease of production was no easy task.

The Ballerina ring was completed in July 2016 after three weeks of dedicated work. It was exhibited at the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) in Carlsbad, CA, on August 5, 2016. Larisa Zolotova's passion for classical music and Russian ballet shines through in this exceptional design, which has garnered recognition and acclaim. The Ballerina ring was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in the Jewelry, Eyewear, and Watch Design category in 2017. This prestigious award recognizes well-designed, practical, and innovative creations that meet professional and industrial requirements.

Experience the enchanting beauty of the Ballerina ring, a true work of art that combines elegance, sparkle, and the timeless grace of ballet. Larisa Zolotova's creation is a testament to her talent and passion for design, making it a must-have piece for any jewelry lover.
